As night fell on 6th August 1915 across the Gallipoli Peninsula, thousands of battle-hardened but exhausted Allied troops quietly made their way through a mishmash of torturous gullies and spurs to the north of the place they called ‘Anzac’. Their aim? To make one more assault to break the stalemate and bring an elusive victory in a campaign which had already seen horrendous losses.

In this video, in partnership with the Battle Guide, using the latest technology, aerial and on-the-ground footage, and the words of those who were there, we’ll cover the story of three legendary fights, the assaults on Lone Pine, the Nek and Chunuk Bair.
