A superb day at Alleyne's Academy, Stone, Staffordshire.

Groups of Year 10 students worked all day on a Gallipoli-themed mosaic. This will be mounted in the school for all to see.

I was asked to do a assembly on the campaign with the whole of Year 10 (all 200 or so). The students were very receptive and their behaviour was superb.

I then did a lesson with the Sixth Form history students on how the studying the campaign can help us understand war and society today. A lot of very interesting discussion particularly reflecting on the current war in Ukraine.

Many thanks to the school and Jen Davies in particular for making this possible. The students were brilliant.
