Your Sons Are Now Lying In Our Bosom, And Are In Peace

Vedat Midilli, an amateur music producer living in Istanbul, recently contacted the Gallipoli Association to share a symphonic poem inspired by Ataturk’s famous words.

Vedat writes:

I was deeply impressed when I first read Ataturk’s lecture to the heroes that lost their lives in Gallipoli. I had many friends from Australia, and New Zeland in the past. When I read this lecture to them, we all burst into tears. Years later, I composed this little symphonic poem, and want to dedicate it to the memory of your sons and our sons that lie side by side in the soil of our country.
